About Bambi Kindergarten
Quality Care Since 1952
Bambi Kindergarten is a small, not-for-profit community preschool with a proud history of providing quality education and care to the children since 1952. It began as a Department of Defence facility at Bardia Barracks in Ingleburn, NSW, serving Defence families. It was established as a not-for-profit organization run by community volunteers and continued to be community-run and served civilian families as well.
For over 70 years, Bambi has remained community-managed, with parents playing an active and vital role in the life and operations of the preschool. This strong sense of community ownership has helped us maintain our commitment to providing affordable, high-quality early education for generations of children.
We continue to honour this legacy by creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment where children and families feel valued and connected.
Mission Statement
At Bambi Kindergarten, we are dedicated to nurturing the holistic development of every child through play-based learning, fostering a community where diversity is celebrated, and every child's voice is heard and valued.

Philosophy
At Bambi, we recognize that children thrive when they are encouraged to explore, inquire, and imagine in a supportive and inclusive environment. We are committed to:
Play-Based Learning
We believe children learn best through play, where they can develop essential social, cognitive, and emotional skills. Play fosters creativity, problem-solving abilities, and resilience.
Cultural Respect and Reconciliation
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land and strive to deepen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. We promote reconciliation by sharing knowledge respectfully and celebrating diversity within our community.
Wellbeing and Safety
We prioritize the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of every child. Our environment is designed to be safe, nurturing, and stimulating, encouraging exploration and learning through hands-on experiences.
Non-Discrimination and Inclusivity
We uphold the rights of every child to learn and grow free from discrimination. Our inclusive practices ensure that all children, regardless of background or ability, have equal opportunities to thrive.
Educational Excellence
Our educators are passionate professionals who are dedicated to understanding and meeting the unique needs of each child. We continuously enhance our practices through ongoing professional development and collaboration.
Innovation and Collaboration
We foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, forging strong partnerships with families and the broader community to enhance educational outcomes for every child.
